Booking Rules

  • Booking online is mandatory. Walk-ins are not permitted.
  • Court time is booked in 1 hour time slots for single play and 2 hours for doubles. Bookings are made on the hour (e.g. 7:00AM not 7:30AM).
  • Booking time slots are shown 5 days out from current day/hour as indicated by red horizontal line on calendar (e.g. if the current date/time is Tuesday 16 March 2022 4:00PM, member will be able to view 5 days up until Sunday 21 March 2022 4:00PM)
  • A maximum of 4 bookings and no more than 1 booking per day are permitted within this time period. e.g. It is Monday, player books Monday 9:00-10:00AM (singles), Tuesday 10:00-11:00AM (singles), Wednesday 6:00-8:00PM (doubles) and Thursday 6:00-8:00PM (doubles).
  • Last minute bookings are made within 1 hour of the current hour/day (indicated in the system by red horizontal line). These types of bookings do not affect the member’s 1 booking maximum per day  (e.g.  It’s Monday morning, member books an evening slot of  7:00-8:00 PM.  At 12:05PM, they see that the 1:00-2:00PM slot is available, they can book it as it is within the current hour/day).
  • Players book court time for themselves and other members playing with them. To book singles play, member adds a second player from the system; to book doubles play, member adds 3 additional players.
  • Players on the court must match individuals selected online.
  • Booking courts for the purpose of “holding” (e.g. adding member that will not show up) will not be tolerated. Court bookings are reviewed on a regular basis.
  • Bookings may be modified up until scheduled playing time (cancellation/changes). Cancelling a booking allows other members to have access to the time slot.
  • If a court is booked and players do not show up within the first 10 minutes, the court becomes available for that time slot (e.g. court is booked from 10:00-11:00, players do not show up by 10:10, said court becomes available 10:10-11:00). Online booking does not allow booking in the past, players can use the court without reserving. A member that repeatedly books a time slot and does not cancel ahead of time will be subject to the actions listed in the last item below.
  • Use of ball machine or backboard are permitted only on Court #2 at Pineglen any day of the week from 7:00AM to 6:00PM.
  • Family memberships includes an option to allow children to book courts. It is the adult’s responsibility to monitor their children’s bookings.
  • Juniors that are less than 10 years old must be accompanied by a parent/guardian/instructor while on the courts.
  • Guests are permitted when playing with a member who reserves the court by selecting “guest guest” as the additional player. The guest fee must be paid prior to booking by e-transfering funds to: glenstennisclub@gmail.com. The guest fee is $10 /day/guest.
  • Club sanctioned activities (e.g. Club Championships) take precedence over individual court bookings.
  • The above rules must be adhered to and random checks will take place to ensure they are followed. If a member does not comply with the rules, the following actions will be taken by the Executive
    • 1st violation – a warning e-mail will be sent to the member(s)
    • 2nd violation – member(s) will lose court booking privilege for 1 week.
    • 3rd violation – membership will be revoked with NO REFUND.
